Job description

Luxury WW RTW Senior Buyer/Product Merchandiser

We have partnered with an exquisite, couture brand, who's strategy is to develop and launch to market a RTW luxury WW brand. This role is looking for a Senior Buyer/Product Merchandiser, who can review and rework the brand's extensive archive, along with the design team to produce a Luxury RTW collection, ensuring price and collection are in line with the vision of the Creative Director and that the collection is brought to market and introduced to appropriate global E Commerce platforms and retailers.

Main responsibilities:

  1. Evaluate the latest fashion trends, buying patterns, and demographics of our target market; research of potential customers.
  2. Develop and implement sales and distribution strategies for the RTW.
  3. Act as a key stakeholder and visionary for this new venture for the business; experience of developing and launching similar luxury RTW brands is required.
  4. Work with manufacturers on prototyping and sampling.
  5. Implement development critical path with manufacturers, ensuring deadlines are adhered to.
  6. Work closely with the designer and Creative Director to develop each collection from initial concept through to finished product.
  7. Respond to margin requirements – be aware of costs at wholesale and retail when developing.
  8. Ensure all sample deliveries are on time to the showroom prior to sales presentation.
  9. Schedule and actively sell to all wholesalers/retailers during seasonal sales campaigns and coordinate ongoing brand product knowledge seminars at all key stockists.
  10. Monitor marketing activities, support key partners, and advise on specific strategy, targets, and objectives.
  11. Create annual, seasonal, and monthly budgets along with a selling strategy to achieve turnover target.
