Job summary

The Connaught Hélène Darroze team at The Connaught Hotel, part of the Maybourne Group, seeks a talented Sommelier for a full-time role in Mayfair, London. You will manage a cellar of 3,000+ labels and 40,000+ bottles, delivering meticulous wine service and leading a training-focused team to delight guests.

Applicants should hold an advanced wine qualification (WSET or equivalent) and have luxury-hotel/Michelin-star experience with a calm, confident presence and a passion for service excellence.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of both new and old world wines with a WSET or equivalent qualification.
• Experience in luxury hotel and Michelin-starred restaurant environments.
• Strong service culture with ability to motivate and develop others.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Sommelier team to ensure professional, efficient and accurate beverage service.
• Deliver exceptional guest service and support training and development of the team.
• Maintain and leverage a cellar with a diverse label collection to exceed guest expectations.
