Job summary

Careers in Design represents a luxury lighting and furniture brand seeking a Product CAD Technician on a 12-month contract to standardise their extensive back catalogue. You will recreate existing products as accurate 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks for manufacturing and internal use.

The role emphasizes meticulous drawing management, collaboration with design and technical teams, and using Excel to maintain drawing registers.

Qualifications

Proficient in SolidWorks and Microsoft Excel.
Experience producing detailed technical and assembly drawings, including GAs and exploded views.
Understanding of manufacturing processes for furniture, lighting or similar physical products.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail.
Good communication and collaboration with design and technical teams.

Responsibilities

Create accurate 3D models and 2D technical drawings using SolidWorks.
Produce detailed manufacturing, assembly, component and exploded‑view drawings.
Review and update existing drawings to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Maintain organised drawing files, revisions and product information.
Use Excel to manage drawing registers and documentation.
Ensure technical drawings meet internal standards and are suitable for manufacture and supplier communication.
