BROAD PURPOSE

An award-winning supplier of luxury packaging is looking for an Account Manager to join the Spirits Team and work with some of the best luxury Spirits brands in the business. With full accountability for your own portfolio of client accounts, you will be responsible for planning and implementing client retention and growth initiatives. This role will be fully accountable for project delivery and with the support of the company’s expert internal team, you will play an integral role in product design and development, offering creative and technical solutions for luxury secondary packaging and providing outstanding project management to deliver a first-class client experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and implement annual account plans to manage and grow your accounts. Set and track sales account targets, aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage an assigned portfolio of existing clients with a proactive approach, manage repeat business and identify development potential. Close sales orders by confirmation of project briefs.
  • Utilise the CRM to prepare and approve commercial costings within company guidelines, prepare client quotations and critical time paths. Ensure all project administration is accurate and current.
  • Track project milestones and deliverables, identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies, in line with the company’s best practice and using the appropriate tools and templates.
  • Respond in a timely manner to changing priorities; adapting and adjusting plans as required.
  • Play an integral role in the packaging design and development processes. Offer the client creative and technical solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that standards, processes and agreed project management methods are maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Work closely with the Operations team in the product development and manufacturing process.
  • Delivering the highest level of client service to enhance the client experience whilst balancing their expectations with the execution of work and business needs.
  • Developing key relationships with multiple clients concurrently, cultivating and maintaining good long-term partnerships.
  • Identifying product improvements or new products by staying on top of current on industry trends, market activities, and competitive landscape. Soliciting feedback from clients, visiting trade shows, networking etc.
  • Effectively manage all administration ensuring that all project documents are completed accurately, are current, and appropriately stored – within the CRM.

REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES

  • 5+ years Luxury Packaging Account Management Experience – ideally within Spirits
  • Highly motivated, results driven, and you have excellent business sense and financial management.
  • Experienced in defining product requirements and services that best serve the client and the business.
  • Know exactly how to handle multiple client relationships and multiple projects simultaneously and successfully.
  • Experienced with working with various materials such as paper, wood and metal and familiar with various print techniques and don’t shy away from experimenting with new and relevant materials and methods.
  • Great with people; your clients trust you. You are proactive and dependable.
  • Your communication is brilliant and you’re influencing, and negation skills are second to none.
  • Analytical, and IT savvy – a completer finisher in terms of admin and organisation
  • More than willing to travel throughout the UK and abroad.
  • You are ambitious and have the talent and desire to learn and grow as the company continues its worldwide growth.
