Job summary

Sims Hilditch is seeking a Mid-Weight Interior Designer to join their luxury interior practice between the Cotswolds and London studios. You will manage your own clients and projects, translating briefs into high-quality design solutions and presenting concepts to clients for sign-off.

You will collaborate with the design leads and procurement teams, using AutoCAD, In Design and SketchUp to develop details from concept to completion, while mentoring junior staff and contributing to a

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Auto CAD, In Design, Photoshop, Sketchup, Microsoft Office.
• Free hand sketching is a bonus but not essential.
• Ability to work well under pressure, prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Self-motivated, pro-active with initiative.
• Good team player and strong communication skills.
• Excellent organisational skills and eye for detail.
• Full, clean UK Driving Licence.

Responsibilities

• Deliver creative design projects, independently and with the team.
• Translate design concepts and client briefs into detailed presentations and documentation.
• Communicate design with clients to secure sign-off.
• Research and select materials within concept and budget.
• Build supplier relationships and explore new approaches.
• Work across all project stages in line with RIBA structure.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, suppliers and project teams.
• Attend client/site meetings and present ideas with senior designers.
• Problem solve design challenges.
• Mentor junior team members and support daily operations.
