University Arms is seeking a Room Attendant to ensure guest areas are clean and maintained to a high standard. You will be guest-focused, delivering excellent service with a friendly, informed approach in a historic Cambridge hotel.

Responsibilities include servicing guest rooms, making beds, replenishing amenities, and reporting maintenance issues promptly. The role requires flexibility for shifts, weekends and public holidays, with competitive pay and staff perks.

Qualifications

• Previous room attendant experience in a hotel would be beneficial but not essential.
• Shows exceptional attention to detail.
• Takes pride in delivering flawless service.
• Works well independently and as part of a team.
• Has a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Can manage physical aspects of the role (standing, lifting, cleaning).
• Is flexible to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Responsibilities

• Clean and service guest rooms and suites to luxury brand standards.
• Make beds, change linens, and replenish amenities.
• Maintain impeccable hygiene and cleanliness in bathrooms.
• Report maintenance issues promptly.
• Ensure trolleys, equipment, and pantries are well-stocked and organised.
• Handle guest requests efficiently and professionally.
• Support the wider housekeeping team during peak periods.
• Undertake regular deep cleaning tasks.
• Carry out lost property procedures.
