Job summary

Aethos in London is seeking a Food & Beverage Supervisor to lead shifts, uphold luxury service standards, and ensure flawless guest experiences across the outlet. You will manage opening/closing, briefing, seating plans, and team coaching while maintaining HACCP, allergens, and licensing compliance.

This hands-on role requires confident decision-making, strong leadership, and the ability to mentor colleagues in a fast-paced luxury setting. Only eligible UK applicants will be considered.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory or shift-leading experience in premium hospitality.
• Ability to take charge of a shift and make decisions without a manager present.
• Strong leadership and communication skills to direct a team kindly and clearly.
• Working knowledge of food safety, allergens, and UK licensing regulations.

Responsibilities

• Take charge of the outlet for the duration of the shift, as the senior person on duty.
• Complete opening/closing procedures, cash handling, HACCP checks, and handover notes.
• Lead pre-shift briefings covering bookings, VIPs, allergens, and service standards.
• Manage floor plan, seating, pace, and team coordination to ensure a calm service.
• Deliver warm, personalised service and recognise members/regulars.
• Coach and support colleagues on the floor and train new staff on standards and systems.
• Ensure food/beverage quality, allergen information, and cleanliness throughout the shift.
