Job summary

Holland Cooper is seeking a Garment Technologist to safeguard technical integrity, fit, and quality from proto to production. You will collaborate with Design, Merchandising, Production and suppliers across Ladieswear, Menswear and Childrenswear to translate concepts into commercially viable, technically sound products that meet brand standards.

You will develop technical specifications, performance standards and size charts, ensuring samples pass through QA and supplier reviews.

Qualifications

Strong Garment Construction and Fitting with ability to interpret patterns and measurements.
Solid Textile knowledge for fabrics used in luxury tailoring and outerwear.
Experience in Quality Control processes and setting quality standards.
Effective communication skills across design, production and supplier teams.
Previous garment technologist experience within fashion is beneficial.
Proficiency with pattern-cutting software, CAD or PLM systems is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Relevant qualification in Fashion Technology, Textile Science or Garment Technology preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan and attend fit sessions with supplier comments on measurements and tolerances.
Fit, develop and approve samples from development through production.
Develop, update and maintain technical specs, size charts, measurement standards and product records in PLM.
Identify and resolve construction, fit, fabric, testing or quality issues with suppliers.
Support the development and maintenance of technical brand manuals and communicate standards across the supply chain.
Arrange seasonal block and specification reviews to validate blocks and grade rules.
Carry out QC inspections on incoming goods and review external AQL inspections.
Work to the critical path to meet deadlines and ensure on-time delivery.
Build strong internal and external relationships to promote the technical function.
Collaborate with suppliers to improve quality, ethical standards and production methods.
Based at Head Office in Cheltenham, UK.
