Job summary

Start Something Different Ltd. in London is seeking a Cloth & Trims Buyer to join our luxury fashion team with immediate effect.

The role focuses on end-to-end sourcing, purchasing and coordination of fabrics, trims and raw materials for both product development and bulk production. You will work closely with Product Development, Production and external suppliers to ensure materials meet seasonal critical paths, quality, accuracy and cost control, while managing supplier relationships and

Qualifications

• Experience in cloths/buying for fabrics, trims and raw materials.
• Experience with product development and bulk production procurement.
• Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems (e.g., Zedonk) and Excel.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple priorities in luxury fashion.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end procurement of fabrics, trims and raw materials for sampling and bulk production.
• Raise and manage purchase orders with suppliers, ensuring accuracy and cost control.
• Act as primary contact for fabric and trim suppliers and negotiate pricing where appropriate.
• Coordinate material planning, tracking stock levels, deliveries and allocations across systems.
• Monitor supplier lead times and ensure timely delivery in line with production schedules.
