Job summary

SUCCESS TALENT is seeking a Fabric and Trim Developer in Liverpool on a permanent basis. The role focuses on driving innovation across fabrics and trims, collaborating with fabric mills and trim suppliers while supporting the sourcing team to align fabric sourcing with garment strategy.

The successful candidate will pioneer new techniques, work with the design team, and help maintain leadership in the sportswear industry through technical excellence and rapid response to changing demands.

Qualifications

• Experience collaborating with fabric mills and trim suppliers to innovate fabric constructions.
• Ability to manage fabric library and approve fabrics for bulk production.
• Knowledge of testing requirements and compliance documentation.
• Ability to work across technical and lifestyle products.
• Strong knowledge of the sportswear industry.

• Ensure high quality and consistency in manufacturing by approving core fabrics for bulk production and managing the fabric library
• Source cost-effective fabric and trim solutions
• Ensure suppliers are aware of testing requirements and maintain up-to-date records of all testing and compliance documentation submitted
• Work alongside garment technologists to ensure all developments meet technical standards and adhere to test requirements

A growing outdoor sportswear brand is looking for a Fabric and Trim Developer to join their team during a period of rapid growth. With a focus on staying ahead of competitors and enhancing the technical aspects of their products, this role is key to driving innovation across fabrics and trims.

You will collaborate with fabric mills and trim suppliers to innovate new fabric constructions and trims.

You will be supported by the sourcing team to ensure fabric and trim sourcing is in line with the strategic sourcing of garments.

They are looking for someone who can act as a pioneer for new techniques, supporting the design team and the wider business to maintain their position as a leader in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with suppliers to innovate new fabric constructions and trims
