Job summary

Signature Senior Lifestyle Limited is seeking a Sous Chef for a luxury care and nursing home in Reigate. You’ll be second in command to the Head Chef, ensuring nutritious, restaurant-quality meals and mentoring the kitchen team.

With 5+ years of kitchen experience and a relevant NVQ, you’ll drive menu development and uphold COSHH and hygiene standards in a busy, 40-hour-week operation.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years’ kitchen experience.
• NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Food & Hygiene or Catering Services.
• Experience supervising a kitchen team and rostering.
• Good COSHH understanding and safe kitchen practices.
• Calm, organized leadership in a fast-paced kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Second in command to Head Chef, overseeing daily kitchen operations.
• Lead and develop Chef de Partie and Commis Chef.
• Collaborate with Head Chef to refresh menus.
• Ensure every meal is nutritious and restaurant quality.
