Right Now Group is seeking a Luton Van Driver to join a busy transport and logistics operation, handling collections and deliveries for Freight Forwarders from shippers across local and regional areas. The role uses a Luton van with a tail lift and involves 3-8 stops daily, with a focus on reliable, professional service.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years' professional van driving experience.
• Full UK Driving Licence.
• Maximum of 3 points on driving licence.
• Experience driving a Luton van with tail lift.
• Experience in Freight, Transport, Courier or Logistics advantageous.
• Able to complete multiple deliveries daily and regional routes.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual and flexible with start times.
• Comfortable with loading/unloading freight.
• Willing to progress through training (incl. HGV).

Responsibilities

• Complete daily collections and deliveries for Freight Forwarding customers.
• Typically complete between 3-8 collections and deliveries per day.
• Collect freight from shippers and deliver to freight/logistics facilities.
• Drive a Luton van with tail lift.
• Complete local and regional routes per daily requirements.
• Undertake longer-distance runs, up to Birmingham and back.
• Safely load, secure, transport and unload freight.
• Operate tail lift safely and correctly.
• Handle general freight with small amount of Dangerous Goods.
• Check paperwork for accuracy and obtain signatures.
• Communicate with Transport team about collections/delays.
• Liaise with shippers and Freight Forwarders.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure freight remains safe and secure.
• Follow Health & Safety procedures.
• Maintain professional and customer-focused approach.
