Job summary

Longleat Enterprises Ltd is looking for a hands-on Grounds and Gardens Assistant to join our outdoor maintenance team. Reporting to the Head Gardener, you will perform a wide range of grounds duties year-round, including grass mowing, hedge trimming, bedding maintenance, turf care, and litter clearance, all with a focus on presentation and guest experience.

This permanent 39-hour role operates five days out of seven with a rota that includes weekends and bank holidays.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in gardening or horticultural work.
• Maintains gardens, lawns and outdoor spaces to a high standard.
• Has excellent attention to detail and presentation/cleanliness.
• Confident with garden machinery and tasks like mowing and hedge trimming.
• Well organised, able to work independently and manage time.
• Flexible with seasonal hours and changing priorities.
• Strong awareness of health and safety and company procedures.

Responsibilities

• Mow, turf care including aeration and repair of damaged areas.
• Hedge trimming, bedding maintenance and general garden care.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and well maintained.
• Support hard and soft landscaping tasks as required.
