Job summary

University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking an Advanced Nurse Practitioner to provide autonomous advanced clinical practice and lead patient care across the lung cancer pathway in partnership with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team.

The ANP will assess, investigate and manage care, refer when necessary, and uphold regulatory standards while contributing to corporate objectives and delivering evidence-based care in line with national guidelines.

Qualifications

• Experienced registered nurse operating at an advanced level.
• Autonomy in decision making in complex and risky clinical contexts.
• Experience across settings and with multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the care of patients throughout the lung cancer pathway with the multidisciplinary team to ensure effective management.
• Accountable for own actions in accordance with professional regulatory body requirements.
• Lead and deliver clinical care across settings, ensuring evidence-based care and alignment with Trust objectives.
• Undertake an initial assessment to determine differential diagnosis, utilising advanced critical thinking and decision-making skills.
• Initiate management for patients who are critically ill or deteriorating within scope of practice.
• Proactively refer to other clinicians to deliver care beyond your limitations.
