Job summary

St Mary's Wavendon C of E Primary School is seeking a proactive Lead Midday Supervisor to lead the lunchtime team and create a safe, positive environment for pupils during lunch. This part‑time role focuses on wellbeing, behaviour and safeguarding during lunchtime supervision.

The ideal candidate will confidently lead a team, promote healthy eating and inclusive play, and coordinate recreational activities to enhance the lunchtime experience. 39 weeks per year, 11.25 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Lead and supervise the lunchtime supervision team.
• Promote a safe, positive and inclusive lunchtime environment.
• Support pupils’ wellbeing, behaviour and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise the midday team, ensuring effective staffing and lunchtime supervision arrangements.
• Promote a safe, positive and inclusive environment for pupils during lunch and playtimes.
• Support pupils' wellbeing, behaviour and safeguarding, responding appropriately to incidents and concerns.
• Encourage healthy eating and positive social interactions within the dining hall.
• Organise and support recreational and physical activities that enhance pupils' lunchtime experience.
• Work collaboratively with school staff to meet the needs of all pupils, including those with additional needs.
