Job summary

Wigan & Leigh College and University Centre is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to support students during lunchtimes in a safe, welcoming environment. You will be a visible presence across communal spaces, promoting positive behaviour and safeguarding while helping students feel included and connected.

The role requires a commitment to safeguarding, strong communication, and the ability to build trust with a diverse student body. Interviews are planned to occur in early November.

• Ability to build positive, professional relationships with students from diverse backgrounds.
• Commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with students during lunchtimes.
• Be a visible presence in refectory and communal areas.
• Promote positive behaviour and high standards in line with college values.
• Identify and report safeguarding concerns and ensure students receive support.
• Respond to incidents and behavioural concerns appropriately.
• Monitor spaces to maintain a calm, safe college environment.
