Job summary

Whitegrove Primary School is seeking a friendly Lunchtime Controller to supervise pupils during lunch and support activities from 11:30am to 1:15pm, Monday to Friday. The role is part-time, term-time, with a total of 8.45 hours per week and includes Grade K (SCP3) pay of £13.67 per hour, London Weighting included.

Experience with children is helpful but not required; the school prioritises kindness, reliability and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• supervise and support children during the lunch period;
• help children at mealtimes and encourage independence;
• encourage positive play and organise enjoyable activities;
• supervise children indoors and outdoors;
• maintain high standards of hygiene, health and safety;
• build positive relationships with children and colleagues;
• support children with individual needs where required;
• promote positive behaviour and ensure lunchtime is calm, safe and enjoyable;
• play an important role in safeguarding and wellbeing of pupils.
