Job summary

Lift Schools is hiring a Midday Supervisor to support pupils during lunch and break times. You will help keep students safe, calm and engaged, guiding positive behaviour and assisting with lunchtime activities in dining areas and play spaces.

No formal qualifications are required; the ideal candidate is patient, empathetic and able to relate to young people, with a warm, approachable manner. This is a part-time, term-time role.

Qualifications

• No formal qualifications required; caring about young people is key.
• Patience, empathy and ability to relate to young people.
• Basic first aid training

Responsibilities

• Keep students safe as they move around the school and use the dining areas.
• Watch over students during lunch breaks and help manage behaviour in a calm and fair way.
• Spot any hazards or concerns and take action quickly to keep everyone safe.
• Support students who may be upset or experiencing bullying, and share any concerns with the right staff.
• Help organise lunchtime clubs or activities when needed.
• Keep tables and benches clean and tidy after meals.
