Job summary

Envision Education is seeking a reliable School Meals Supervisory Assistant (SMSA) to join a friendly primary school in Hounslow. The role focuses on supervising lunchtime, promoting good manners and ensuring safe meals for children, with a welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, communicates well, and works as part of a team. Prior experience is desirable but not essential, and a genuine interest in child wellbeing is important.

Qualifications

• Friendly, approachable and positive attitude.
• Enjoys working with primary-aged children.
• Good communication and behaviour management skills.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a team.
• Experience with children is desirable but not essential.
• Interest in supporting children's wellbeing and development.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime in the dining hall and playground.
• Encourage positive behaviour and promote good manners.
• Support children with their meals and ensure they are eating safely.
• Organise and encourage positive play activities.
• Help maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
• Support pupils with any additional needs where required.
• Report concerns or incidents to the appropriate staff.
