Job summary

The Park Primary School in Bristol is seeking a committed School Meals Supervisory Assistant (SMSA) to join our friendly team as soon as possible. You will supervise and care for the children during lunchtimes, ensuring they are engaged in active, cooperative play.

You will be a positive role model, follow the school’s policies on behaviour and health & safety, and help set up and clear the dining hall. Training will be provided; prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• No previous experience required but willingness to attend training.

Responsibilities

• Supervising and caring for children during lunchtimes.
• Interacting with children to ensure active, purposeful, positive and cooperative play.
• Enforcing the school’s behaviour policy and addressing Health & Safety issues promptly.
• Working with colleagues to set up and clear the dining hall.
• Maintaining confidentiality at all times.
