Job summary

Somerford Primary School is seeking a caring and reliable Lunchtime Supervisor to join our team. The role involves supervising pupils during the lunch break, ensuring their safety, welfare and good conduct, while encouraging positive play and social interaction.

The successful candidate will work 1.25 hours per day (12:15–13:30), Monday to Friday, 38 weeks per year during term time. The salary is Band 1, Point 5 (£25,583 per annum full-time equivalent), pro rata, with actual salary around £3,654

Qualifications

• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Able to undertake light manual tasks.
• First aid and allergy awareness training form an important part of the role.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunch breaks to ensure safety and orderly conduct.
• Set up and clear dining areas and support children during lunchtime.
• Promote a safe, inclusive environment and encourage positive play.
• Work as part of a team to support wellbeing and safety of children.
