Job summary

Peterborough Diocese Education Trust is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to oversee lunchtime activities, ensure a safe and enjoyable environment, and promote healthy eating habits for pupils during the lunch period.

The role requires enthusiasm, approachability and the ability to establish positive relationships with children, staff and the local community. It offers a permanent contract, 6.25 hours per day over 38 weeks per year, with a supportive school culture and opportunities for development.

Qualifications

• Enthusiastic, approachable and friendly demeanor.
• Build good relationships and respond to playground issues fairly.
• Understand how to tackle challenging behaviour with respect and following the Behaviour Policy.
• Promote healthy eating and table manners; support good eating habits.
• Understand children and community; maintain confidentiality and follow the Code of Conduct.
• Willingness to undertake CPD including First Aid and safeguarding training.
• Be energetic, engage with children and model school values.
• Appreciate Child Protection importance and safeguarding welfare.

• Ensure lunchtime is safe, enjoyable and nutritious for pupils.
• Create a positive lunch experience and manage play safely.
• Support children to be active, social and ready to learn after lunch.
