Job summary

Shincliffe CE Primary School is seeking a reliable Lunchtime Supervisory Assistant to join our lunch-time team. The role is permanent, part-time (7.5 hours per week) and term-time only, starting 23 November 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The successful candidate will help supervise meals, encourage polite use of cutlery, and support play and welfare for children. We value caring, teamwork and the ability to work with children with additional learning needs or disabilities.

Qualifications

• Caring, hardworking and reliable.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Experience supervising meals and guiding children’s play.
• Experience helping young children with additional learning needs or disabilities.
• Clear spoken English for customer-facing duties.

Responsibilities

• Supervise meals and encourage proper use of cutlery.
• Set up and supervise playground games with children.
• Support children with additional learning needs as needed.
• Contribute to the welfare and safety of lunchtime activities.
