Job summary

Academics in London is seeking a friendly and reliable Primary School Midday Assistant in Waltham Forest. You will supervise lunchtime, support pupils and help create a safe, happy environment during the midday break.

The role is term-time only, Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 1:30pm, with pay of £13-£16 per hour and an immediate start for suitable candidates. Candidates with a caring, punctual and team‑oriented approach, good communication, and the ability to remain calm when managing

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children during lunchtime and outdoor play.
• Ensure pupils are safe and follow school rules.
• Support lunchtime routines.
• Encourage positive behaviour and good manners.
• Help create a happy, safe and inclusive environment.
• Deal calmly and appropriately with minor incidents.
• Work as part of the wider school team.
