Job summary

Poplar Street Primary School is seeking a friendly and patient Midday Assistant to join a supportive staff team. You will help create a safe, inclusive lunchtime experience where children can socialise and enjoy time with friends, with plenty of time outdoors.

You should be reliable, approachable and able to work as part of a team, engaging with children in a positive, caring manner and supporting safeguarding procedures in line with our Trust policies.

Qualifications

• Must be friendly, patient and reliable with a genuine desire to work with children.
• Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and communicate effectively with colleagues.
• Willingness to work outdoors and participate in lunchtime activities.

Responsibilities

• Support lunchtime activities and supervise children in the playground.
• Work as part of a friendly team to ensure a safe and enjoyable lunchtime experience.
• Adhere to safeguarding procedures in line with Trust policies.
