Job summary

St Bartholomew’s CE Multi Academy Trust seeks a Lunchtime Supervisor for Oak Meadow Primary School in Wolverhampton to supervise pupils during lunch and support safe, positive mealtime routines. The role is fixed-term and term-time only, starting September 2026.

The successful candidate will supervise lunch routines, assist with meals and table manners, and promote inclusive behaviour in a busy school setting. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication skills with children and adults.
• Ability to work within safeguarding and welfare policies.
• Experience or ability to support children during lunchtime (preferred).
• Professional references (two suitable references required).
• Willingness and ability to comply with DBS checks and other pre-employment checks.

Contract: Fixed Term, Term Time Only (12 months in the first instance)

Grade: 2 / Spine Point 3-4

Salary: £24,796 - £25,185 (FTE) (£2,882.15 - £2,927.36 per week, 5 hours / 44.85 weeks paid)

Start Date: September 2026

Location: Oak Meadow Primary School, Wolverhampton

Responsibilities

• Assist children with cutlery and table manners
• Promote positive behaviour
• Clean and sanitize eating areas
• Organize and lead games and activities during lunch recess
• Administer first aid as required
• Maintain a friendly, supportive and inclusive lunchtime environment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Ability to work effectively within school safeguarding and welfare policies
• Previous experience or proven ability to support children during lunchtime (not strictly mandatory but preferred)
• Professional references (two suitable references required)
• Willingness and ability to comply with DBS checks and other pre‑employment checks
