Job summary

Frederick Holmes School is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils during the midday break. You will supervise children, assist in the dining hall, promote good eating habits and safe play. This is a fixed-term, term-time post (190 days per year) starting ASAP, with a 7.5 hour total weekly commitment, 11:45am to 1:15pm.

You will join a skilled welfare team within Humber Education Trust. Experience with children, especially those with SEND, is desirable, and training will be provided.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children, including those with varying needs, is desirable.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and support pupils.

Responsibilities

• Supervision of children throughout the midday lunch break.
• Help with supervision in the dining hall, during meals, ensuring good eating habits and table manners.
• Plan and deliver games with the children on the playground, encourage group play.
• Resolve behavioural issues following senior leaders' guidance.
• Care for sick children and those with minor injuries, providing basic first aid if required.
