Job summary

Braunstone Community Primary School is seeking a Lunchtime Supervisor to join the school team. The role supports lunchtime staff, delivering high-quality care and an active learning environment during lunchtimes to foster pupils' social and educational development.

The post requires a proactive, flexible approach and a commitment to safeguarding. The successful candidate will work 1.5 hours daily, Monday to Friday, during the lunch period.

Qualifications

• Empathy with and understanding of children in the relevant age range.
• Ability to be assertive when necessary.
• Ability to understand and follow health and safety, child protection, and school behaviour procedures.
• Good interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime in eating areas and manage queues.
• Assist with clearing away and tidying eating areas and mop spills.
• Supervise/engage pupils after lunch inside or outside, monitoring health, safety and security.
• Maintain reasonable behaviour and discipline in line with the School Behaviour Policy, including appropriate restraint if required.
