Job summary

Alver Valley is seeking a lunchtime supervisor to join our supportive team and help pupils enjoy their lunch break. The role focuses on supervising play, assisting with meals, and maintaining a safe, positive environment in the playground.

The successful candidate will understand child behaviour, work well with others, and contribute to a happy, well-behaved school day. Training is provided both in-house and externally where available.

Qualifications

• Understanding and awareness of child behaviour
• High expectations of children's behaviour
• Proactive and promote positive play
• Engage with children to ensure playtimes are enjoyable
• Good communication, teamwork and sense of humour
• Understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assisting pupils with food consumption (opening cartons, cutting food)
• Cleaning spillages and surfaces
• Supervision of disposal of foodstuffs
• Supervision of pupils to ensure safety
