Job summary

Waddington All Saints Academy in Lincoln is seeking a caring and reliable Play Leader to join our Lunchtime team. This role supports pupils during the lunchtime period, ensuring a safe, happy, and inclusive environment on the playground.

The successful candidate will supervise children, encourage positive play, promote school values, and assist with minor first aid. Training including safeguarding will be provided, with DBS checks required.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with children is essential.
• Excellent numeracy and literacy to perform duties.
• Ability to use own initiative.
• Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to its success.
• Good interpersonal skills to communicate with children.

Responsibilities

• Supervising children in the playground and around the school site during lunchtime.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and play, helping pupils to develop social skills.
• Promoting the school's values and safeguarding the welfare of all pupils.
• Assisting with minor first aid (training provided).
• Ensuring the lunchtime period runs smoothly and safely.
