Job summary

The Flying High Academy is seeking a caring Lunchtime Play Leader to support and enrich children’s lunchtime experiences with engaging outdoor play. You will help create a safe, stimulating environment that promotes fun, physical activity, and positive behaviour in line with play principles.

Qualifications

• Experience working with primary school children is desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to safeguarding and wellbeing in a school setting.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, age-appropriate lunchtime activities in a safe wraparound setting.
• Supervise children, promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
• Prepare and serve healthy snacks, considering dietary needs and hygiene standards.
• Coordinate smooth transitions between classes and wraparound care.
• Communicate effectively with children, colleagues and parents/carers.
• Support the school ethos through teamwork and flexibility.
