Job summary

St John Fisher &Thomas More Academy, part of Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust, is hiring a Permanent part-time Lunchtime Organiser to supervise pupils during lunch and assist with supervision as directed by the Headteacher. Shifts run from 11.30am for 1.5 hours daily, Monday to Friday, starting 16 November 2026.

An enhanced DBS check is required. You will help create a positive lunchtime atmosphere, support health and safety procedures, and provide first aid for minor incidents as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising pupils in a school setting (≤140 chars).
• Ability to follow instructions and stay calm in challenging situations (≤140 chars).
• Commitment to safeguarding and health & safety procedures (≤140 chars).

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils in dining areas and other areas as directed by Headteacher.
• Help create a positive atmosphere during lunchtime for pupils and staff.
• Provide first aid for minor accidents or offer reassurance when not required.
• Ensure health, safety and safeguarding procedures are followed correctly.

Job description

Permanent part-time Lunchtime Organiser post at St John Fisher & Thomas More Academy, recruited for Corpus Christi Catholic Academy Trust. The work centres on supervising pupils in the dining areas and elsewhere as the Headteacher directs, including first aid for minor accidents and comfort where it is not needed. The shifts are short, 1.5 hours a day Monday to Friday from 11.30am, and an enhanced DBS check is required. The start date is 16 November 2026.

What the job involves

• Supervise pupils in the dining areas and elsewhere as the Headteacher requires
• Help create a positive atmosphere so lunchtime meals and recreation are pleasant for pupils and staff
• Give first aid to pupils with minor accidents, or comfort and reassure them where first aid is not needed
• Ensure health and safety and safeguarding procedures are followed correctly
