Job description

Advert for MDS

We have an exciting opportunity for somebody to join our highly motivated and enthusiastic OPAL Play Teamat Ramsgate Holy Trinity.

We have been transforming our lunchtime play since last January and now have a truly inspirational provision – you are as likely to see children climbing trees, digging holes and building dens as you are to see them playing football, running around or reading in the Cosy Cabin.

Although knowledge and experience of the OPAL scheme would be beneficial, as would experience of working in a school, it is by no means a necessity. What is essential is a genuine interest in children and children’s play, a willingness to learn, a commitment to the school’s vision and values, a good sense of humour and heaps of energy. We will happily provide training for everything else.

In exchange for your dedication, we can offer you a school where respect and kindness drive all decisions, procedures, policies and practices, children who are happy to be at school and who value their right to play, and staff who look after each other and are motivated to meet children’s needs to the best of our ability.

The successful candidate will work from 11.50am until 1.10pm, 5 days per week, term time only across all Key Stages from Early Years to Key Stage 2.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children; the successful candidate will be subject to two written references and an enhanced DBS check.
