Job summary

St George’s Nursery Sherwood is seeking a Nursery Lunchtime Cover Practitioner to support children during the lunchtime period and assist with meals, routines, and transitions.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification.
• Have knowledge of the EYFS and safeguarding.
• Are passionate about helping children thrive.
• Are caring, positive, and enthusiastic.
• Enjoy working as part of a team.
• Have nursery or childcare experience.

Responsibilities

• Support children throughout the lunchtime period.
• Help with meals, routines, and transitions.
• Create a calm, safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
• Support children’s personal care needs while promoting independence.
• Work closely with the wider nursery team to ensure the highest standards of care, learning, and safety.
• Build positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues.
