Job summary

Cherubs Nurseries is seeking a Lunchtime Assistant to support meal preparation and service for children from 10am to 2pm, Monday to Friday. You will work within the nursery kitchen and with rooms to deliver a nutritious, engaging lunchtime experience.

The role requires Level 2/3 Early Years knowledge, basic GCSE qualifications, and a commitment to food safety and hygiene. Duties may include laundry and general housekeeping during busy times while maintaining safeguarding standards.

Qualifications

• Qualified to Level 2 or 3 in Early Years preferred.
• Understanding of food safety in the workplace is essential.
• Experience or willingness to support kitchen tasks and meals for children.

Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy meals and snacks using Cherubs Nurseries menus.
• Assist in cooking, food preparation, washing up and record keeping.
• Support nursey rooms with mealtime supervision and positive eating practices.
• Assist with laundry, housekeeping and sleep times during busy periods as needed.
• Ensure hygiene, safety, and safeguarding policies are followed.
