Job summary

Overthorpe C of E Academy is seeking a casual Lunchtime Supervisor to support pupils at lunchtime, supervising children as they eat and helping keep areas tidy. You will work under the direction of teaching staff to support learning and welfare during breaks.

The role involves assisting with personal needs, supervising safety, and contributing to behavioural and learning support plans while undertaking light clerical duties as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in assisting with pupils' personal needs and welfare.
• Ability to supervise pupils and ensure safety during lunchtime.
• Ability to report pupil progress and behaviour per school policy.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal needs of pupils including social, health, physical, hygiene and welfare matters.
• Supervise pupils to ensure safety and access to learning.
• Prepare and tidy the classroom for lessons and clear after use.
• Assist with the display of pupil work and classroom resources.
• Report pupil problems or behaviour to the teacher or line manager according to policy.
• Provide routine information to/from parents under direction of staff.
• Support learning activities, including literacy and numeracy, at KS3 and early years.
• Assist with supervision before/after school and lunchtimes within contractual hours.
• Undertake routine clerical duties such as photocopying and collecting dinner money.
