Job summary

Old Cleeve Church of England First School is seeking a dedicated Midday Supervisor and Teaching Assistant to join our diverse learning community. The role blends lunchtime supervision with classroom support to help pupils access the curriculum and feel safe, valued and included.

Working 8.30am–3.30pm, 18.75 hours per week during term time plus 5 INSET days, you will help maintain positive behaviour, support social development and contribute to an inclusive lunchtime environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children is preferred.
• Ability to supervise groups and promote safe, respectful behaviour.
• Commitment to inclusive education and safeguarding.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime ensuring safety, wellbeing and positive behaviour.
• Support children while eating lunch, encouraging independence and healthy eating.
• Supervise outdoor play, promoting inclusive, positive play experiences.
• Promote positive relationships and use restorative approaches to resolve minor disagreements.
• Attend to minor first aid needs and report incidents per school procedures.
• Maintain school behaviour and safety during lunchtime period.
