Job summary

Waterloo Lodge School is seeking a caring Midday Assistant to join the team and help provide a safe, positive lunchtime experience for pupils aged 11 to 17. You will supervise lunchtime activities, support pupils, promote healthy eating and maintain hygiene standards.

The role involves working with staff to support pupils, fostering positive behaviour, and contributing to a nurturing school environment. GCSE Maths and English are required. DBS checks will be completed for successful applicants.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during lunchtime and ensure their safety and wellbeing.
• Support children in the dining area and encourage positive behaviour and table manners.
• Assist with serving meals and promote healthy eating habits.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene and food safety.
• Create a calm, positive and inclusive lunchtime environment.
• Provide basic first aid and report incidents appropriately.
• Work closely with teaching staff to support pupils' needs.
