Job summary

Stainton CofE Primary School in Penrith is seeking a part-time Midday Supervisor to start as soon as possible. You will work five days a week between 11.55am-1.05pm, supervising pupils during lunch and ensuring their safety and wellbeing.

You will encourage good manners, assist with meals, manage incidents per the school policy, and help keep the dining area tidy. A DBS check is required; rolling advertisement for term-time only (38 weeks).

Qualifications

• Experience supervising children during lunch periods.
• Ability to promote safety and well-being of pupils.
• Willingness to undergo an enhanced DBS check.

Responsibilities

• Supervise pupils during the lunch period to ensure safety, welfare and good order.
• Monitor pupil behaviour and report incidents to the Headteacher as appropriate.
• Ensure safety and well-being of children, provide emotional support where necessary.
• Deal with injuries or accidents according to school procedures.
• Encourage good manners and assist with meals (cutting up food, opening containers, pouring water).
• Keep dining area tidy, manage spillages, and ensure class areas are prepared for the afternoon.
