Job summary

West Lothian Council invites applications for a Supervisory Assistant at Kirknewton Primary School and ELC to provide lunch-time supervision, Monday to Thursday 12:15pm–1:30pm. This is a 5 hours per week, 38 weeks per year fixed-term post until 11 April 2027.

The role requires safeguarding through PVG checks; successful candidates will join the PVG scheme and undertake the associated checks. The post is paid according to council terms.

Qualifications

• Lunch-time supervision experience desirable
• Experience working with children in a school setting is advantageous
• Ability to work as part of a team and follow safeguarding procedures

Responsibilities

• Provide lunch-time supervision for pupils, Monday to Thursday 12:15pm–1:30pm
• Support pupils during lunchtime routines and safety
• Contribute to creating a positive, safe environment for children during breaks
