Job summary

Kids Planet Hebburn is seeking an Early Years Educator – Lunch Cover for a part-time role, 11am to 2pm, to join our warm, child-centred team.

You’ll support children during mealtimes, help with daily routines, and contribute to a safe, engaging learning environment in line with the EYFS.

Desirable Level 2 UK early years qualification; safeguarding knowledge; opportunities for training and career development; inclusive culture and 80% childcare discount.

Qualifications

• Desirable but not essential to hold a UK-recognised Level 2 early years qualification.
• Understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) or eagerness to learn more.
• Knowledge of safeguarding children.

Responsibilities

• Provide support during mealtimes and assist children.
• Collaborate with the nursery team to support daily routines and activities.
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and engaging learning environment for children.

What an Early Years Educator – Lunch Cover needs:

Desirable but not essential to be Level 2 qualified or higher in a UK recognised early years qualification.

An understanding of the Early Years Foundation Stage, or an enthusiasm to learn more.

Knowledge of safeguarding children.
