Job summary

Bright Horizons Forest Park nursery in Bracknell is seeking an enthusiastic Early Years Assistant to join a friendly team. You will help care for babies and children up to 5 years old, supporting play, reading, and development towards milestones.

Shift pattern is 15 hours per week, 11:30am–2:30pm, Monday to Friday, year-round. Previous childcare experience is welcome but not essential; DBS checks are required.

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.

Responsibilities

We’re looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Forest Park nursery to cover staff lunches, we are looking for cover 1130-230 Monday to Friday, all year round.

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

What we’re looking for

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
