Bright Horizons is seeking an Early Years Assistant for the Haddenham Day Nursery in Aylesbury. The role supports children up to age 5 during lunch-time hours and involves engaging activities, reading, and development-focused interaction with the team.

You will work in a nurturing environment, with DBS checks and safeguarding practices in place, and have access to staff benefits and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential.
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with colleagues and parents.
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with children and adults.

Responsibilities

• Look after babies and children up to age 5 as part of a team.

• Assist with daily routines during the lunch-time period.

Nursery – Bright Horizons Haddenham Day Nursery

Salary – £13.45 per hour (dependent on qualification/s and experience)

Hours – Mon-Fri | 10:30am-2:30pm | Permanent

Location – Aylesbury, HP17 8FH

We’re looking for an Early Years Assistant to join our Haddenham Day Nursery to support over the lunch time period!

The nursery newly opened in September 2021 and benefits from good public transport links by train and car, based 6 miles from Aylesbury and just 7 miles east of the M40 junction 7, and there is plenty of onsite parking. It's close to local amenities, including a small supermarket right next door! This setting features 5 lovely rooms, a large garden area and an external balcony area with fantastic views!

The Role

As an Early Years Assistant, you will work as part of a team to look after babies and children up to the age of 5. You will have adventures with our children through interactive play, activities, reading, and encouraging their curious minds – supporting colleagues with each child’s development towards their key milestones.

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience working with children ideal but not essential – Nursery Bank Staff, Nursery Assistant, Teaching Assistant, Nursery Practitioner, Early Years Educator, Nanny, Childminder or similar
• Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child
• Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents
• Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults
