About the Job:

We are seeking a Day Luggage Porter to join our team at Jumeirah Carlton Tower. The main duties include:

  1. Tidying the luggage area and Concierge desk as required.
  2. Managing the telephone switchboard when needed.
  3. Handling requests at the Concierge desk professionally and courteously.
  4. Assisting in hotel security by reporting suspicious persons or activities.
  5. Preparing proper handovers for the morning shift.
  6. Delivering extra beds, turndown beds, and cleaning rooms as instructed by your line manager.
  7. Parking cars safely and issuing correct dockets with all details filled in.
  8. Preparing Banqueting Boards and assisting in directing guests to functions.
  9. Being aware of your work schedule and providing adequate notice if unable to adhere to it.
  10. Reporting incidents, complaints, suspicious persons, or hazards immediately.

About you:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A valid UK driving license.
  • At least 1 year of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury hotel environment.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to provide personalized, professional service to discerning guests.
  • Knowledge of luggage handling procedures and proper lifting techniques.
  • The ability to work independently, multitask, and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work on a rota basis.
