Job summary

Lubrizol is offering a year-in-industry placement for a Blend Test Services Chemist Student. You will support development and validation of lubricant technologies through physical and analytical testing, working with technicians, chemists, and PhD scientists to influence industry standards and product quality.

You will compile test results, communicate findings through reports and presentations, and contribute to training and knowledge sharing across laboratories.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work accurately and methodically in a laboratory environment.
• Genuine interest in scientific research, innovation, and product development.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate and reliable physical and analytical testing on lubricants and related products while adhering to laboratory protocols and safety standards.
• Compile, analyse, and communicate test results through clear written reports and presentations for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborate with business leaders, scientists, and research and development teams to support new testing methodologies and research initiatives.
• Contribute to the improvement of industry standards by helping develop innovative testing procedures and evaluating vehicle fluid performance.
• Support knowledge sharing across laboratories by expanding your expertise and assisting with training and best practice activities throughout the department.
