North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Pears Cumbria School of Medicine Clinical Teaching Fellow LTFT post in January 2027. The role focuses on undergraduate medical teaching within General Surgery and related curricula and offers a unique chance to develop as a clinician and educator.

Qualifications

• Current GMC registration and completion of the UK Foundation Programme.
• MRCS/Primary FRCA or equivalent qualification required.
• Postgraduate Medical Education qualifications (PGCert/PGDip/MMedEd) preferred.
• Significant teaching experience within the NHS and education settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, deliver and evaluate teaching sessions for medical students across curricula.
• Focus on planning and delivering General Surgery, including breast surgery, year 2 PCSM.
• Attend educational training locally and mentor junior colleagues as educators.
