Job Description

LSEG is seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering Excellence & Productivity (EXP) team. The selected candidate will play a vital role in improving the developer experience, modernizing tooling and processes, and ensuring secure and compliant development practices. You will work closely with global teams to enhance cloud infrastructure, streamline CI/CD pipelines, and contribute to overall platform reliability and innovation.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and resilient cloud infrastructure.
  • Automate builds, tests, and deployments to improve speed and efficiency.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and ensure their ongoing maintenance.
  • Monitor application and infrastructure health using modern observability tools.
  • Collaborate with Security and Infrastructure teams to manage patching and compliance.
  • Coordinate with DevOps capability teams for disaster recovery processes.
  • Troubleshoot incidents, manage service and change requests, and lead recovery efforts.
  • Participate in the full lifecycle of services including inception, deployment, operations, and refinement.
  • Document infrastructure architecture and update knowledge bases regularly.
  • Engage with cross-functional teams globally (UK, US, APAC) to align on platform engineering strategies.
Technical Skills Required
  • Strong grasp of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Expertise in configuration management and automation tools.
  • Proficient in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Capable of identifying infrastructure bottlenecks and proposing effective solutions.
  • Knowledge of integration between applications, databases, and platforms.
  • Strong documentation practices and system design experience.
  • Experience in incident and change management processes.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Creative thinking, initiative-taking, and continuous learning mindset.
  • Committed to DevOps culture and Agile development methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience with Linux/Windows environments.
  • Experience in service reliability engineering and operational excellence.
  • Exposure to financial markets and services is a plus.
