Learning Support Assistant

Remedy are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a school based in Basildon. Their aim is to provide a safe and supportive learning environment for our students, where they can develop their skills, talents, and confidence to achieve their full potential.

About the Role:

We are currently looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a team in a school. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers and other professionals to support students with special educational needs and disabilities.

As a learning support assistant you will be responsible for:

Assisting teachers in the delivery of lessons and supporting students with their learning.

Providing one-to-one support for students with SEN.

Helping to create a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students.

Encouraging students to develop their social and communication skills.

Supporting students with their personal care needs, where necessary.

The successful Learning Support assistant will have:

Experience of working with children and young people with SEN.

Knowledge of a range of SEN conditions and how they can impact on learning.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ability to work effectively as part of a team.

A flexible and adaptable approach to work.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
