About the Role:

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant (LSA) / Teaching Assistant (TA) / SEND Support Worker / Youth Worker to join a specialist SEND provision in Chigwell.

The school supports students with needs including:

  • Autism (ASD)
  • Social, Emotional & Mental Health (SEMH)
  • Moderate to Severe Learning Difficulties (MLD / SLD)
  • Profound & Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD)
What You’ll Be Doing:
  • Supporting students 1:1 or in small groups to enhance learning and development
  • Helping students build confidence and independence in a nurturing environment
  • Using creative and engaging techniques to support students’ unique learning needs
  • Assisting with behavior management using positive strategies
  • Working closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for students

  • Passion for working with SEND students and helping them thrive
  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff
  • No prior school experience needed! We welcome candidates with social care, youth work, personal SEND experience, or those looking to start a career in education

Full-time, long-term position (Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position, with the possibility of becoming permanent later.
