Job Description

We are seeking passionate individuals to join a special needs school in Chelmsford, supporting children with Moderate and Severe needs. The role involves working 5 days a week, supporting students with MLD and SLD either in small groups or on a 1:1 basis to enhance engagement and attainment. No prior school experience is required; graduates, support workers, healthcare assistants, youth workers, or those with personal experience are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting children with special needs to improve engagement and attainment
  • Developing your skills as an LSA
  • Collaborating with parents to ensure continuity of support at home
  • Building strong relationships with children using a friendly and positive approach

This is a full-time, temp-to-permanent position, working from 8:30am to 3:30pm. All applicants must have appropriate qualifications and training, including a valid enhanced DBS check and subscription to the DBS Update Service. We offer free safeguarding and Prevent Duty training, and full assistance throughout the application process.
